Koh Yao Noi has fairly good facilities and enough taxi services to make it easy to travel from the pier to your hotel. One of the things that’s great about Koh Yao Noi is that although tourism is an important part of the local ecomony the island has 13 small villages where local people still make part or all of their income from traditional argricultural and fishing methods, as well as local craft work. The level of devleopment on the island has not pushed local people and local culture, and similarly the local environment has been well preserved with lots of forests and agricultural land separating pockets of tourist development.
