Depending on when you need to arrive at Phuket Airport, and how many people are travelling together, you have the option of either using the direct joint service, or taking another speedboat service and then organising your own transport from the pier in Phuket to the airport.

• Location of Koh Kradan Beach:

Most speedboat services to Phuket depart from the beach in front of Koh Kradan Beach Resort, which is located near the centre of Koh Kradan Beach. Koh Kradan Beach is the main beach on the east coast of the island where nearly all of Koh Kradan’s tourist accommodation is located. There is no wooden pier, however, a floating plastic pontoon (similar to the ones in use in Koh Lipe) is installed during the tourist season to allow easy and dry access to speedboats.

• Location of Jian Wanich Pier:

The journey by speedboat from Koh Kradan to Phuket is scheduled to take from 3 hours to 3 hours 40 minutes depending upon which service you take. The difference in scheduled travel times relates to the number of stops at other islands the speedboat service makes before it reaches Phuket.

Different services also arrive at one of two different piers in Phuket: Rassada Pier and Jian Wanich Pier. It doesn’t make a lot of difference which pier you arrive into as the two piers are located only 1.6 km apart by road.

• Location of Phuket International Airport:

Travellers who choose not to take a direct service from Koh Kradan to Phuket International Airport need to make their own way from the pier in Phuket to Phuket International Airport. From Rassada Pier the distance by road to Phuket International Airport is 35.2 km, and from Jian Wanich Pier to Phuket International Airport the distance is 34.3 km.

The closest public bus stop to either pier is on the Anuphasphuketkarn Road, 1.1 km walking distance from Rassada Pier and 700 metres walking distance from Jian Wanich Pier. These public services terminate at Phuket Bus Terminal 1. From Phuket Bus Terminal 1 there is an hourly bus service to the airport, which takes 90 minutes to complete the journey.
