It’s a two stage journey to travel from Hat Yai International Airport to Koh Tarutao. The first stage of the journey is by road to a ferry pier in Satun Province on the west coast of Thailand. The second stage of the journey is by speedboat from the mainland direct to Koh Tarutao.
Location of Hat Yai International Airport:
One major advantage of taking a joint minivan and speedboat service from Hat Yai International Airport to Koh Tarutao is that it is cheaper than the alternative public transport options available on this route. Hat Yai International Airport is not close to a bus station where you can board an inexpensive bus service to the speedboat pier.

Koh Tarutao Pier is in the north of the island not far from the closest point to the mainland which reduces the journey time.
