Kong Ka Pier is located right in the centre of Krabi Town. Kong Ka Pier used to be one of the main ferry piers in Krabi Province, although its importance has declined since the opening of Klong Jilad Pier which is now the main long distance ferry pier located 4 km from Krabi Town Centre.

Kong Ka Pier is located in Chaofa Park in Krabi Town centre in an area which is popular with visitors as a place to visit in the early evening. There is only one scheduled ferry which operates out of Kong Ka Pier, but lots of tour boat services which travel to destinations such as Koh Phi Phi, Railay Beach, Ao Nang, Koh Jum, Koh Pu and Koh Lanta. For times and prices of tour boat services we recommend that you visit the booking office at the pier. There are plenty of travel agencies and touts looking to sell tour boat services operating out of Kong Ka Pier for higher prices than those you are normally offered in the booking office at the pier.

Kong Ka Pier itself has toilets, a waiting area and no other facilities. Kong Ka Pier is, however, close to Krabi Town Centre, Krabi Night Market and Krabi Town Walking Street. If you are departing on a boat in the morning from Kong Ka Pier then before you go you can get breakfast at one of the cafes or restaurants on the road opposite Chaofa Park. Alternatively, if you are arriving into Kong Ka Pier in the evening then we recommend that you either head to Krabi Night Market, which is inside Chaofa Park less than 60 metres walking distance from the pier, or if it’s a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night then head to Walking Street which is 600 metres walking distance from Kong Ka Pier.

A scheduled ferry service to Koh Lanta operates twice daily from Kong Ka Pier. The ferry takes 2 hours 15 minutes to reach Saladan Pier in Koh Lanta with stops on route at Koh Pu and Koh Jum.
