Joint bus and boat services to Koh Phi Phi depart from both Surat Thani Train Station and from the centre of Surat Thani City. These direct travel services are operated by the Phantip Travel Company. There one direct service a day from Surat Thani Train Station to Koh Phi Phi. The minivan leaves from the car park near to the ticket hall of the station. There is a row of three cafes facing this car park and if you ask inside they will direct you to Phantip Travel staff who will be waiting for passengers. There will be lots of other people waiting here to travel and if you are not sure where you need to go to catch the bus simply go to where all the other travellers are waiting.

About Travel To Koh Phi Phi

The journey from Surat Thani to Koh Phi Phi has two stages:

• Stage 1 is a journey by bus to Klong Jilard Pier near Krabi Town. This is a journey of 160 km which should take 2 hours 08 minutes to drive direct.
• Stage 2 of the journey is a ferry journey to Koh Phi Phi which takes between 1 hour 30 minutes and 1 hour 45 minutes depending on which ferry you take.

All services arrive at Tonsai Pier in Koh Phi Phi which is in the most built up part of Koh Phi Phi’s main island. Tonsai bay is famous for having a narrow strip of land with a beach on either side. There is another ferry port at Laem Tong Beach in the north of Koh Phi Phi. At present there are no ferry services between Laem Tong Beach and Krabi, but there are ferry services between Laem Tong Beach and Rassada Pier in Phuket.
